Performance Design

What is Performance Design?

A performer does not only perform but they created performances, they design, prepares and execute performances. Therefore performance design includes context design (programming and logistics), interpretation and audience perception.

Performance-Based Building Design is an approach which focuses on the objective of a building asset, in order to prescribe desired results instead of the way and the method to get things done, as it's concepted in a traditional practice. Performance Based Building (PBB) is focused on performance required in use for the business processes and the needs of the users.

Performance based design can also be described as the function/ performance of a struggle building. Performance based design is the future of architecture as, naturally, engineers use their skills to help evaluate energy efficiency of buildings & increasingly started working as part of design teams with architects. They also brought their tools with them. Building performance is impacted by decisions ranging from its siting, form & orientation, its envelope as much as it is impacted by mechanical systems.
